Frequently Asked Questions

What do I save by booking the West Gate Hotel direct?

Ten percent, every time, through our Book Direct Special, which is the guaranteed best deal on our rooms. Third-party travel sites can't match it.

What's included in my rate at the West Gate Hotel?

More than the room: the hot breakfast buffet, all-day lobby coffee and hot cocoa, the large indoor pool and spa, free parking with space for trucks and trailers, free Wi-Fi, guest laundry access, and a local front desk that plans park days for a living. Book direct and take 10% off the whole package.

Why are West Yellowstone rooms so expensive in summer?

Peak season at Yellowstone's busiest entrance prices the whole town accordingly; as one guest wrote, "spendy, but every place is during the peak season in West Yellowstone," and another judged us "reasonably priced in the market and worthwhile." Booking direct early gets our 10% discount and first pick of the family rooms that sell through soonest.

I found the West Gate on a booking site. Should I book there or here?

Here, and not just for the 10%. When you book direct, the exact room type you select is the room we hold, and any change, question, or hiccup is handled face to face by our local front desk rather than a third-party call center. Guests who booked through outside sites have learned the hard way that we can't always adjust reservations those sites control.

How does the 15% Cody Hotel offer work?

Stay with us, then check your booking confirmation for a promo code good for 15% off our sister property, The Cody Hotel in Cody, Wyoming, at the park's east side. Use the code when booking at TheCody.com. New reservations only, based on availability. It's the easy way to turn a Yellowstone trip into a full loop.
